These children may one day become your child's neighbour, co-worker, best friend, or even an assemblyman!
The best place to shape a Muslim community is in Surau. Because of it's closer proximity, we picked it over larger mosques. Surau are usually understaffed and therefore underutilised. It is a wonderful symbiosis: surau provide us with free space, while we draw untraditional demography to it.
Not just quran and academic tuition,
UDC also provides football training sessions and character building activities. For low-income earners, these programs are considered luxury items, and can’t afford it if fees were charged.
Volunteers from the community are being utilised to assist in running the activities. Most of them are the beneficiaries from the free classes itself. In addition to giving the local community a place to contribute, doing it in this way will make them more aware of the surrounding problems.
There is not enough religous school ( KAFA ) in Kuala Lumpur. Based on government data, 47.1% or 39,605 pupils do not attend KAFA schools each year. Most of them will grow up without receiving the proper character development.
We provide free Quran lessons and team-building activities to properly shape up their personality according to Islamic values
The National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2022 findings reveal that 60,000 Malaysian teens aged 13–17 are currently using drugs. According to the Anti-Drug Enforcement Agency ( AADK ), the number of drug addicts among youth in Kuala Lumpur region far exceeds the national average. The main cause is bad influence among peers.
To help them through their sensitive stage of life, we interact with youth through sports activities and as a friend, we offer guidance.
According to several government agencies that we interviewed such as Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat ( JKM ), Jabatan Pendidikan KL ( JPN-KL ), and JAWI, this is the main reason children got into these troubles in the first place. Not poverty per se.
We introduce parent circle sessions and encourage them to become volunteers. While some parents cannot be changed, at least the children of other neighbors can be influenced by excellent ones.
